I got this metal fruit stand at Goodwill during the "Iheart a Humble Blogger Meet and Greet" event with Jen and Amanda, not really knowing what I would do with it.
At first, we all thought it was wrapped with a fake-faux pleather, (yep that is 3 fake-describing terms, that’s how bad it was). It turned out to be a thin metal, which should mean it will hold up to wear and tear.
After we went to HomeGoods, I was inspired by this pencil cup for the color.
After purchasing spray paint, I set up my “spray-station” which is in the underground, shared garage in our apartment complex. I didn’t realize the spray of spray paint really goes far; good thing we have already lost most of our deposit by painting and upgrading our apartment.
The final result is a beautiful sky blue-turquoise that adds a pop of color to our kitchen.
Great find, I love the color you picked!
ReplyDeleteI want to know more about that great wood install on the wall behind the stand! do you have a post about that?
